She’s a 17ft Mayland with a 2008 Mercury 9.9hp petrol engine with electric start. It runs extremely quietly and started without a hitch having been left during the winter. There’s a boat safety certificate till November 2010.
She is still in the original gel coat and gets admiring comments from passers by, but a little T cut and she should come up nice and glossy :o) She does need a new wooden grab rail – the old one is currently with a wood turner to serve as pattern.
The cabin has two single berths and you can add a central panel to make it a double. The seating/table area under the rear canopy will also convert to sleep another. The canopy is intact, although there is a burn mark. There is a cupboard in the cabin which contains the portapotti… I hesitate to describe this as a toilet compartment but it serves as such! There is a sink but currently water is not plumbed.
Its currently moored on the River Nene just outside Peterborough. This is a beautiful site with facilities and mooring may well be available as I am ready for a move.
