7. The hull is fabricated from Lloyds Grade A steel.
8. General construction is a multi-hard chine replica of the original and beautiful Dutch working boats on frames at 500 centres.
10. All the flat profile plates, used in the construction of the hull are pre sand blasted and primed before assembly, the finished hull is painted in a holding primer.
11. The Steel thickness used in construction is as follows.
1. Stem Post 25mm
2. Skeg 25mm
3. Motor Foundations 8mm
4. Hull 6mm
5. Rubbing Strake 150mm x 15 mm with 50 mm solid, full half round applied.
6. Bulwarks 40 mm, solid full half-rounds are applied to the bulwark tops, forward and aft cabin roof edges.
12. The Amartec “Easy Stern” drive system fits into a one piece stern tube from the swim to inside engine room, there is no possibility of external water leaks into the aft cabin bilge.
1. GENERAL DETAILS.
1.2 Fuel Tanks are fitted
1. Removable and independent Fuel tanks x 2 off x 810 litres each approx.
2. Filling points are fitted at starboard and port sides with vents and Vetus fuel level gauge pre fitted.
Inspection holes with flanged and bolted covers are fitted.

1.3. Drive
Amartec Easy Stern, water lubricated, propulsion system, environmentally sound, quiet in operation and does not need continually greasing. The system is supplied complete with the hull and comprises of -:
STERN TUBE, Watertight High Precision seamless stern tube for Amartec "Easy Stern" Shaft System
PROP SHAFT, Stainless Steel 316 grade Dia 40mm prop shaft.
Amartec FASTER Mn Bronze 4 blade propeller Dia 24" x 20 RH Type K4.65 Skew 30 deg. Rake 8 deg.
Bronze propeller nut.
A seamless precision steel bow thruster tube is also fitted but the thruster unit is not.
7. Motor Foundations for Engine from 80 to 114HP as required, the engine is not included in the sale. A John Deer 80 hp unit is recommended.
Note that the prop is designed for use with a 100HP engine if a smaller engine is fitted the prop would need to be changed.
1.4. Steering
The Grease free, Amartec Easy Stern Rudder Bearings System is fitted and comprises :-
1. Seamless Steel Rudder shaft tube.
3. Aerofoil Profiled and balanced rudder with Amartec Easy Stern, grease free foot bearing on P.T.F.E. frictionless base.
4. Rudder Shaft Stainless Steel 316 grade Dia 50mm with square emergency steering point and split flange joint allowing easy and convenient rudder removal.
5. Steering actuator quadrant.
6. Vetus Bow Thruster tube has been fitted.
7. Steering hydraulic Motor. (Fitted.)
8. Rudder Actuating Hydraulic cylinder. (included not fitted)
9. Interconnecting Hydraulic hoses. (Not included.)
1.5. Drainage (All fitted.)
1 Mid and aft ship Scupper drain pipes.
2. Forward and aft cabin roofs are convex and sheered to shed water in both directions.
3. Wheelhouse foundation is angled to allow water to drain from wheelhouse roof as per original Dutch working boats.
1.6. Handrails (All fitted)
1. Steel Handrail for aft ship as per original Dutch boats
2. Steel Grab rails for forward and aft cabin roof.
1.7. Cooling (All fitted)
1.20. Independent heavy duty keel cooling tubes with no potential for internal corrosion of hull via skin type cooling tanks.
1.8. Mooring and Locking (All fitted)
1. As per original Dutch working boats, bollards are positioned forward and midships just aft of wheelhouse doors for fast and easy access.
This feature allows a competent skipper to lock single handed, if required.
2. Integrated Bollard boxes covering the bollard pipes makes for easy cleaning and no rust traps.

1.9. Impact Protection (All fitted)
All the original Luxe Motor barges had a vertical rubbing strake or band fitted at the top of the vertical hull plates. This band extended completely around the vessel and was further reinforced by the addition of a 50 mm full half round (Not a D section or tube section as many of the English 57s have.)
Many of the original Dutch boats had a further full half round to protect and reinforce the bulwark top.
This boat has further full half rounds fitted to the edge of the forward and aft cabin roofs.

1-10.5. Windows and Portholes
1. 4 off Cast brass aft cabin window frames are included (Not Fitted)
2. 6 off Bronze opening portholes are provided for the forward cabin.
(These are fitted in tapering, steel tubes.)
1-10.6 Wheelhouse and Hatch Covers (In place)
The wheel house and hatch covers have been fitted but need removing and weather protection system added.
1-10.7 Anchor Chain Locker (Fitted)
(Access ladder has been fitted.
1-10.8 Engine Room
A 5" Dia standpipe has been fitted starbord with multiple take of points for deck wash and Amartec drive lubrication.
A 2" Dia standpipe has been fitted port side for pump out and flushing.
1-10.9 Heating
Include in the sale is a fully automatic, diesel fired central heating boiler together with hot water cylinder, time clock, water circulating pump, pressure system, time clock, three port valve, room temperature control thermostat and hot water control thermostat and horizontal, through side flue system.
1-10.10 Paint
The hull is finished in a holding primer ready for further finishing.
