Dear Loretta,
I just want to say thank for your advice and help. I came rely close to spending £17000 on a boat without a survey. Your insistence that I should always have a survey done was the best advice I have received since looking for a boat. Whilst the survey cost me £400 it saved me thousands.
Even though the seller was trustworthy and everyone involved was honest, the vessel was structurally weak, it just goes to show that even experienced boat people can miss something important that only a good survey can pick up on.
So thanks again for you help and advice, and for putting me onto a good surveyor.
Keep pushing those surveys. I could have looked a real fool and lost a lot of money if it where not for that survey.
